LOVE GOD
The first great commandment that Jesus gave was to love God (Matthew 22:37-38). We love God primarily through worship. We worship him out of thankfulness for the salvation he has given us in Jesus Christ. Our worship is simple and ordered by the Bible. In each worship service we will:
- Read the Bible (Psalm 119:1-176, 1 Timothy 4:13)
- Preach the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Timothy 4:2, Romans 10:14-17)
- Pray the Bible (Matthew 21:13, Colossians 4:2-6)
- Sing the Bible (Psalm 98:1-9, Revelation 5:1-14, Acts 16:25, Ephesians 5:18-19)
- See the Bible in the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper (Genesis 17:1-27, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:38-39, Colossians 2:11-12, Matthew 26:26-29, Mark 14:22-25, Luke 22:14-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
